Deniz’s 2023 - 2024 season starts with concerts in France, Switzerland, and Serbia before returning to Komische Oper Berlin as Olga in Eugene Onegin and making her role and house debut as Rubria in Nerone (Boito) in the Season Opening at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. Highlights include her debut with Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in Verdi’s Messa di Requiem under the baton of Franz Welser Möst, and her return to Dallas Symphony in the first-ever concert-semi-staged performance of the Ring Cycle in US history, where Deniz sings the role of Fricka and Waltraute under the baton of Fabio Luisi.

Deniz makes her Serbia debut in Verdi’s Messa di Requiem with the RTS Symphony Orchestra at the Bemus festival in Belgrade under the baton of Bojan Sudjic amongst singers as Sonja Saric, Mario Bahg and Goran Juric.

Deniz makes her role and house debut, opening the new season at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in the role of Rubria in Boito's unknown and rediscovered opera, Nerone. The new production is directed by Fabio Ceresa and conducted by Francesco Cilluffo.

Deniz Uzun steps in as the alto soloist, replacing Wiebke Lehmkuhl, in Antonín Dvořák’s Stabat Mater op. 58. She performs alongside Iwona Sobotka, Dumitru Mitu, and Yorck Felix Speer with the Berlin Philharmonic Choir and the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt under the baton of Nicolas Fink.

THE DREAM OF GERONTIUS
The Angel

Feierabendhaus der BASF
Ludwigshafen, Germany

Deniz Uzun performs the mezzo-soprano solo "The Angel" in Edward Elgar's oratorio Dream of Gerontius alongside Maximilian Schmitt (tenor) and Nicolas Ries (bass), accompanied by the Cantus Juvenum Karlsruhe Chamber Choir and the German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Tristan Meister. This performance is part of the centennial anniversary concert of the Beethoven Choir Ludwigshafen.
